My '50 Super Riviera had a 12v conversion done- but only part way. I've replaced all the bulbs but the turn signal still didn't work. Tried two different 12v flashers but no luck. does anyone have any ideas or advice for me?

Car was running fine but then, nothing. I would step on the start and nothing. No clicking or anything. I disconnected the battery and it would spark, telling me there was a short. After some time, over night or so, no short when I reconnected the battery, and it would start. But only once and then the cycle would repeat. Any ideas what is going on before I start replacing the solenoid, starter, battery, etc etc? I’m having to dust off 40 year old auto shop knowledge here and it’s not serving me well. thanks

that’s it! A selector button for the radio. Who knew? I read the ops manual over and over again but skipped the radio potion because that can’t be it. thank you!

Can anyone tell me what the button on the right does. The left is high beams, but I can figure out the right one. thanks!
