sagefinds
Picked it up out of a salvage yard just because it was in pretty good condition, couple small dents but not rusty. Looked in the limited MC lit I have but no success. It's about 21" front to back. Appreciate any help on identification.

TerryB
That flat style cap seems like it could be Honda from about 1977 up. Most earlier caps were twist off. The fuel petcock does not have a provision for engine vacuum operation. That style became more common in the early 1980s. Good luck with the hunt! PFindlay
My guess would be late 70s. Maybe Honda, but not a big one. The push on front mounts and the little bracket for the name badge look like Honda but maybe other makes used the same. How about a closeup of the petcock? Any markings there? sagefinds
The handle has FUEL on it,the face plate has ON and RES,cast into the valve body is a circle with what looks like T and G in it. Looks like the same thing on the other side but not very clear. Here is a pic of the good side.
TerryB
Yes, maybe Honda Hawk 1977 era or something similar? Suzuki too had some flat gas caps in that era.
