stakeside
I am not sure of the setup for my distributor advance/retard linkage for my DA6 truck. First photo shows connection at distributor base. There is a small hole on my head and a tang on the black plate fits in the hole. Does this hole serve to control the amount of advance/retard rotation? Second photo shows the linkage connection coming up from the clum switch. The connection has a short and long side. Does the distributor linkage connect to the short or long side? Any pictures of a setup appreciated.
Mattml430
The small tang does go in the hole to limit the advance and retard. our other linkage comes off the manifold.
Bob Zetnick
Here is the way mine looked. Yes, the bolt into the head behind this limits the advance / retard, but the horizontal bolt to the right allows the distributor to move freely. There is a clamp for the cable to the left that mounts on the head.
stakeside
My truck has lever on the steering wheel. The clum switch at steering column base has the arm that attaches linkage to top of engine. Pic 1 shows lever on top of the engine. Still would like to know the proper orientation.
