1955 Roadmaster Model 72 Gravel Shield/Guard - Drivers Side

Does anyone have a source for these gravel guards? I need a replacement for the driver's side. I tried to have it re-chromed but the split in the top left, near the wheel well, caused havoc and the chrome place really messed the part up. Thanks.

someone here a few years back had a similar experience looking for these, I'm thinking they may have ended up having some fabricated. maybe try google searching different phrases ending in    site:forums.aaca.org

Thanks MrEarl. Yes, started looking to see if I can find someone to fabricate a replacement. Due to the split in the picture, the chrome shop destroyed my drivers side guard trying to repair it. I'll send a pic - looks like it was worked on by elementary school children. They did ok on the rest of the parts although I had to reject several parts for do overs. Just very inconsistent quality between parts until they got it right. Was all done during cover with staff turnover.

Seems to me that it would be easier for a competent shop to fix and rework existing one then remake the whole thing, especially if they have the other side for a guide. Can you post picture of how bad it is?

As you can see, they pretty much tortured this gravel guard. We took it to a second chrome shop to see if they could recover it and it was a no go. They added metal trying to get it to plate. It was a hack job for sure and we were pretty upset!
