plk
I am looking for a Brown-Lipe transmission for a friend of mine. He has the same opinion; just has to find it! 1920 Brown-Lipe #30 3 speed in Aluminum case Good luck on your search!
alsfarms
Hello Peter, Share a bit more information on the needed transmission. What years would it have been used? What makes used this transmission? I will keep my eyes open! Al
plk
I do not have a lot of info on Brown-Lipe trans. I understand they were used in trucks and cars as they were a very strong trans. I do know this particular trans was used in 1920 Indiana trucks in the cast iron version. I assume the Aluminum version was used in cars of the same vintage. In addition to the #30 I think #25 was similar but maybe used bushings instead of bearings. Like you I know there is 1 out there but finding it has proven unproductive and no luck yet. I would ask people to keep their eyes open for any derelict truck/car of 1920 give or take a couple years either way. Thank You to all.
alsfarms
Measure your spare #6 Buffalo wire wheels and see if you happen to have a spare 21" wheel among your 20" wheels. Al
