1966 Calais
How can you tell, if a 56 Imperial Sedan, is a Southampton or a base imperial? The interior was redone, so could of used the Southampton design. Is it in the vin # or data plate by a code. Besides the interior seat design, are there any other upgrades in the a Southampton? Thanks Bob
The 55er
Info I have says the Southampton designation was only for the Imperial hardtop models in 1956.
StillOutThere
"Southampton" references hardtop body styles whether 2 or 4 door. No pillared sedan can be a Southampton. Every pillarless enclosed car is a Southampton.
