alsfarms
Hello John, Is the clutch you are looking for a typical Helleshaw design? The same as Stutz and several others makes used? If the answer is "yes", I can help you out. Al
ak
I have absolutely no idea. I have a 1915 Biddle with a warner transmission just like the one on the Abbott Detroit. The clutch I have was missing a lot of parts, and we crudely cobbled it together so that I could take the car on tour. I would now like to sort it out and put a better clutch in it. So where to we begin? I guess that I will have to start taking the car apart again. I burned out a timing gear using a serpentine belt instead of the original slippy leather one and the gear must have been phenolic or bakelite since I have over an inch of play at the output shaft attached to the timing gear. I have to take it apart this winter and put in a new gear. John
