Skonk
I have a Steelkote trunk for an antique car but I am having trouble identifying what cars it would have come with. Can anyone help? Is it an after market item? Where could I find out? Thanks, Skonk.
Mark Shaw
It appears to be either a dealer option or aftermarket item. Most cars did not come with such accessories from the factory.
Skonk
Hi- Thanks for the info. I was told by the last owner that it was "Studebaker Style" but I don't recall ever seeing a "Stude" with an external trunk. Any thoughts on that? Thanks, skonk. trimacar
Knowing the size of the trunk would help narrow down what size trunk rack it fit on. As mentioned, most trunks were accessories, either dealer or after market, in the earlier days. I would think it will be very difficult to pin down to a specific car. If you market it for sale just make sure you include dimensions. Good luck.
Skonk
Hi- It's 33" by 20" by 16"
oldford
33" wide is more of a Model A size. A drop front would indicate that it had fitted luggage. Frank
