Jolly_John
Wouldn't this Kleer View fluid bottle would look super under the hood of an original condition BUICK? I believe the vintage of the bottle is later 1950's to early 1960's. The date code cast into the bottle is a "9". This Kleer View Windshield Washer bottle has its original multi-color BUICK Kleer View label, and a nice, original cap. No chips or cracks in the bottle. The price is $55, plus the shipping Edited April 16, 2021 by Jolly_John (see edit history)
joseph demeyer
would anyone know where in the engine bay of a 1960 buick this bottle goes ? I see two holes in the right inside fender opposite the oil and transmission dip sticks but the distance in between is four inches while the clamp of the -reproduction- bottle clamp has a distance of three inches. That location makes sense: though opposite from the actual plastic reservoir which is attached to the firewall, it is next to the other two fluid check points while being serviced at the gas station; the attendant would immediately also have access to the washer refill bottle. Any answer would be highly appreciated before i start drilling holes elsewhere !
Jolly_John
Funniest thing....I googled "1960 BUICK engine compartment". Perhaps you did, too. Photos from many '60 BUICK engine compartments came up, and not one had a glass washer fluid supply bottle in place. No empty bracket either. Some of the cars seemed to be highly-restored, highly-optioned convertibles, but no glass washer fluid bottle under the hood.
