Packard expert needed

This piece obviously goes to a Packard, but what is it?

 

The back is cardboard, so my guess is that it belongs inside the vehicle. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like a radio block off plate for the dash........probably mid 30’s from the looks of it.

I am pretty sure it’s the 1936 radio delete plate, I don’t know what other years it was the same shape but I suspect a couple either side of 36

Not too bad of a guess from a Pierce Arrow guy..........
