Chessyman
While snorkeling I found what I think is a 70’s or so muscle car which was dumped in a canal. From its general shape and the luggage rack detail on the trunk, I thought it might be a Mercury Cougar. These are the best pictures I could get that day. Let me know where else that I might look for a better identification. I can try for better pictures when conditions are better. Thanks for any help. Guest
Hmmm? That is interesting. I think it looks a bit like a Fox Body Mustang from the 80's. They used the direct attach ribs on the trunk lid like that and the rear bumper seems to extrude more than a '70's era muscle car. More pics of this unusual find would be great! Dave Mellor NJ
Did you look for bodies?
thehandleman
Yes In the Eighties, The Florida Canals and Lakes had more stolen cars and bodies found in the trunks. I think then anywhere else at the time in the US, when I worked with USCS Air Intradiction we would fly our Maintenance test flights in Helo's and see cars sunk in the side of canals everywhere mainly from the Big lake "O" to Miami and the Everglades Canal System. Good Hunting!
