Rule of thumb on cars for selling to the masses Paint #1 Chrome#2 Interior #3 Mechanics #4 If anything in that chain is broken, it doesn't matter how good the rest is, most buyers will never get past that item to get to the next. I have always said it would be easier to sell a car with nice paint and chrome but no engine, than one with a completely rebuilt drivetrain but bad paint or chrome. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
