centurygarage
I decided i am going to need help in putting this car back together and possibly somebody has already done a car like this has a working knowledge. I bought it Fall 1988 and brought it home Spring 1989. Parked out doors and exposed to weather. I tried a tarp but winds shredded it to pieces. In 1991 while making some decisions on how to approach the project, a guest made herself at home and delivered two kittens. I was there one week end and returned the next and found two kittens! One was a male maincoon and the other was a female with gray fur. I took them home to raise them to age nineteen years with the male dying Fall 2009 and female died Spring 2010. So, that kittens grew and I returned to what's next for the car. Following a couple moves, returned to the storage area and started dismantle. First mistake! Note and bag the fasteners that are removed and where they came from. They were collected and organized but that as far I got to knowing they belong to 39 Buick Century. It was to remain that way until watching youtube, Pebble beach concourse and a college participating in showing a sample of their curricula. They were given a endowment by Jay Leno. I looked them up on Facebook .and asked about their source for fasteners. They use Restoration Specialties, Windber PA. All this since Fall 2019 has this project got back on track. Rejoined BCA.org, planned for 2019 October Hershey and didn't make it. BCA 2020 Nationals Ohio only to be cancelled. So for now the Buick Bugle is the guiding source to seek help. And so far, the fellow members are helpful in pointing out further resources and parts for sale. I located 1939 jump seats and expect to take delivery soon.
