Jolly_John
PRICE REDUCED TO ONLY $25, plus shipping. This is another STROMBERG AAV-16 carb I have for sale, suitable for rebuilding. I'm calling it #2. You'll notice the photos are unique to this specific carburetor. It's a take-off from about 45 years ago. So, there's plenty of dust and dirt on the carb exterior. That is just crud on the body. I haven't done any cleaning. However, everything moves as it should (no shafts or throttle butterflies seized or rusted). The choke is complete, and seems to function. Has the electric switch in place, for use with the gas pedal starting system. This general carburetor fits some of the following BUICKs: -1939 40 series -1941 60, 70 and 90 series -1941 and 1942 40 and 50 series -1946 and 1947 40 and 50 series However, be sure to check to make sure this carburetor is right for you. You can always PM me with the specific STROMBERG sub-number you need, and I'll check this carb's sub-number. Again, this carb is being sold as a core. It should be a good candidate for rebuilding. Don't expect to bolt it on as-as, and go down the road! PRICE NOW CUT to just $25, plus the shipping. Thanks for looking. Frank Tedesco
Hi John, Frank again! I have the same question about this carb as I did on “the one that got away”... Does the starter switch contain the cam? If so, and still available, I would like to purchase the carb. Thanks, Frank
Jolly_John
Frank, my friend....I hate to keep letting you down. But, this second AAV-16 is also gone. I apologize for not removing this ad sooner. Isn't this the way it goes sometimes? I've had both carbs for sale at just $25 each for over six months....and then, all of a sudden, both go. Again, Frank, I'm sorry that I couldn't accommodate you this time around. Best, John in Wisconsin
Frank Tedesco
Hi John, Yes that’s always the case...I took a break from shopping for a while. Thought I would just peek in and saw your ads. Always good to have a backup of hard to find parts. I’ll keep browsing and hope to buy from you in the future. -Frank
Jolly_John
Thanks for the very cordial reply, Frank. Again, I'm very sorry I no longer had what you were looking for this time around. I hope we can work together on something in the future....you're a first-class old car hobby guy, like many of the people here on the forum.
