junkyardjeff
Trying to hook up a discrete PCV system to a 235 that will be looking like a 216 and wondering if there were any 2 bolt valve covers that were made without the 3 vents in the top,I am wanting it to draw outside air through a filtered oil cap. Bloo
I doubt it. My 1953 BelAir stick had the vents. The parts catalog on oldcarmanualproject shows #3686784, with vents, for all 1937-1953. There were no more 2 bolt valve covers from 54 up.
junkyardjeff
I have found there are new replacements that do not have the vent holes punched so since I need to get one made for a oil cap I will grab one from the local old junkyard and fill the vent holes, the new ones will be around 60 shipped to my door but can get one locally for around 10 and spend a little time filling the holes and save around 50 dollars. I think I have more time then I have money.
junkyardjeff
None good enough to bring home and the new ones have free shipping so that is probably what I will do.
