mbstude
A friend recently purchased a 38 Commander with the round, non Cathedral style headlights. He has the glass lens removed but can’t figure out how to remove the bulb socket and reflector. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
chris piazza
Might want to try soaking the socket and reflector with WD40 or the like for a while. Then they should just twist off. I think you need to push the sockets into the reflector a little while twisting as well. I wore leather gloves too and it made it easier.

8E45E
Matt, Chris is correct, one does not push on these #2331 pre-focused bulbs to remove them. They simply twist to remove. If the corrosion is GREEN, in color, use vinegar and warm water to loosen it, not a petroleum-based product like WD-40. Craig
goatboy
as all said above do not push in it may break bulb, and please wear gloves as bulb may break and cut you. if it breaks then you can use pointed nose pliers to twist out remaining pieces after soaking. make sure and clean socket well before installing new bulb as i didnt get mine clean and had problems making it light
