Vent window lock or mirror lock ideas?

I don't think so.  It was the inside lock for the drivers door. The drivers door did not have a lock in the outside handle. Only the passengers door handle had a key lock.

Yep for safety with no street lights and drunk drivers it was safer lock the driver door and alide out on sidewalk and lock the pass door with key

In many places it was and still is against the law to enter or exit a car on the traffic side, even if it isn't enforced.
