My wife spends many hundreds of dollars on gardening every year.

Tell her thank you as I own a garden center and that allows me to spend my money on cars.  Now everybody is happy. Well, at least three of us.

Well according to the IRS its a hobby so who am I to argue.

Have never spent much on anything other than family or tow cars and then tend to keep ones I like longer than the "sell by". Paid $700 for current project car - no rust, runs and drives

"ones I like " - can only think of two cars I didn't grow to like (even a 60 Ford my stepfather had), a Daimler SP-250 and most Spohns.

Only thing I do not like about three of my current odd cars is that they did not come with spare tires.

Major change since the '60s is that current cars drive much better, have more power, better MPG, and all have AC. Restomods make perfect sense for those with the cash. Even my Judge would be nicer with a rack and pinion and a 5 or 6 speed manual. But then I have others that do have a rack and pinion and 5 or 6 speeds.

Need to replace some hidden headlight rollers, just waiting for the AC to pull the garage temp down...
