Jack Welch
I am in the process of disassembling the exhaust manifold on my 1940 Limited to do repairs on the heat riser and repair a crack on the exhaust manifold. I remember that there is a process in reassembly where a lubricant should be coated on the manifold sections to allow them to move with the heat. I think the lack of doing that by the original restorer has caused the manifold to crack. Just wondering what should be used.
Ben Bruce aka First Born
Jack, I do not recall just what Buick called that "slurry". Basically, a slurry of heavy oil and graphite. This was with NO gaskets. Ben
