Buick35
I'll be reinstalling my hood on my 35 40 series Buick soon and wanted to know the best way to go about it with the least amount of work or paint damage. Should I set the hood in place with the end caps that slide on already taped on the hood hinge or install the rear one to the body and slide the hood hinge into it with the hood? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Greg.
Mark Shaw
My son and I recently installed the hood on his 29 Buick. We left the caps in place and removed the fastener holding the rods that locate the top of the radiator. This allowed us to slightly tilt the radiator forward to install the hood. We then reinstalled the locating rods with no risk of damaging paint.
