TomTIII
My '31 Chrysler CM6 battery is under a floorboard on the driver side. The floormat material is screwed down. The owner's manual doesn't describe getting the battery out. Mine has lost it's charge... what's the best way to recharge the battery (6v, pos. grnd)?? Spinneyhill
Unscrew the floor mat and remove the cover over the battery. There was usually a cover over the battery box in the floor. In the Dodge 8 you need to removed the floor board to take the battery out - the hole is only an access hole. Guest
If you only want to charge the battery you can connect the charger negative clamp to the negative cable on the starter and the positive to anything bare metal under the hood.

Or the battery side of the generator or regulator. Be careful though.
