Mike Macartney
This is a photo of a friends grandfather in the back of an early car. He was a blacksmith who became a motor mechanic in the Somerset region of the UK near Warminster. Any idea of the make of the car?
Terry Harper
Locomobile. Note the condenser on the front. They had to retro fit it to comply with the British law that no steam vapor be visible. The condensate was not returned to the tank as it was with condensing Stanley's and Doble's but simply dripped out on the ground. Quite a few of the little beasts were sold on your side of the pond.
