Terry Bond Posted March 22, 2019 Share Posted March 22, 2019 See my post under the Memorabilia section - looking a MGTC Toy Car made by the New Era Toy Company in Lambertville NJ in the early 1980s. It was based on the popular MGTD Metal model kit produced by Dopke, which was modified to look more like its predecessor, the MGTC. I've seen others painted British Racing Green but not sure what other colors might exist. I photographed this one from the collection of a friend who got my wife started collecting MG stuff. Figured I'd start searching now for Christmas! The New Era Company in Lambertville NJ was founded by Marvin Leon Silverstein, who passed away in 2010. According to his obituary, he was a nationally known restorer of antique pressed steel toy cars and trucks. He also produced a multitude of original pressed steel trucks in the style of the antique ones. Any leads appreciated. Terry Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
