4bangen
Good afternoon, My name is Matt and I'm out of Denton Texas. I just got my 72 Rivi running for the first time in 15 years. The car is mostly there, but is missing a few things. I'm looking for the power steering bracket, and a front bumper. Do any of you fine folks know of anyone with these parts in the North Texas area? Thanks for your time. Matt here's a picture of her on her first drive in 15 years.
NC1968Riviera
Welcome and good luck with your Riv! There are two 71's for sale on Craigslist in Cleburne. You might be able to dicker on the price. https://dallas.craigslist.org/sdf/cto/d/cleburne-2-cars-one-deal-buick-riviera/6812589737.html 2 Cars One Deal - 1971 Buick Riviera Boattails - $3500 (Cleburne) Edited March 21, 2019 by NC68Riviera (see edit history)
RivNut
Welcome to the forum. The power steering bracket is probably not unique to the Riviera. It's probably the same for any 430/455 Buick engine from that era no matter what model. Check the website for CTC Auto Ranch near Denton, TX for a bumper. 4bangen
I contacted the guy with the two 71's and he's not ready to sell parts off them and I can't store two cars. and CTC has one that's damaged. I'm still on the hunt. Edited April 2, 2019 by 4bangen (see edit history)
NC1968Riviera
Last December this guy posted on FB about having a 73 Riv he was parting out. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1608629249351060/permalink/2234397363440909/?sale_post_id=2234397363440909&rt=
RivNut
1973 was the first year for the Federally mandated 5 mph crash bumpers. 73's have a railroad tie for a front bumper, not one of the slimmer aesthetic bumpers like the '72's. 1972
