pyntre
How hard are these hubcaps to find in really nice shape ? And will they fit on a 65 factory steel wheel ?
Chimera
An excellent condition set is fairly rare to source, yet available. Yes, my understanding is that they will work with the 65 steel wheel. 65 and 66 steel wheels are interchangeable, usually.
Pat Curran
They are hard to come by in perfect condition depending on the area of the country they have been exposed to. They are prone to sandblasting, the spinner can become pitted and the plastic center emblem can de-laminate, crack and fade. Sanded and salted roads were not kind to these covers when our vintage Riviera's were used as daily drivers. The spinners can be removed and re-chromed if need be and you may be able to find good emblems as well. These covers can be easily taken apart for cleaning and detailing but it is time consuming. Sometimes NOS ones pop up for sale so keep an eye out. I have a set in driver condition but definitely not show condition if you have an interest.
