Anyhow while I was looking for the rear end ratio I came across the number 42 painted on rear end. I am guessing that it is factory because I had to scrape off the undercoating to see it. There was also a X in white kinda marking it off. Going across the #42. The rear is a 307 ratio. Just wanted to share it. Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
telriv Posted January 9, 2019 Share Posted January 9, 2019 The "X" marking is STAMPED NOT WRITTEN if the diff. is POSI. An easy way to tell a POSI from a glance is the POSI has a 3/4" square to check the fluid. Whereas the non posi has a 3/8" square you install the end of a 3/8" extension into to check the fluid.
