AHa
I have the inlet and outlet side of a transmission. The inlet has a bearing adjustment in the housing and a four fingered yoke attached to a fiber impregnated disc to attach to the back of the motor with the drive gear attached. I'm not sure the other end goes with the front. They just came to me together. I also have a main shaft with gear attached. Main shaft and gear are new old stock. I also have several more NOS gears to fit this shaft as well as another main shaft and several more gears to fit a different profile shaft. AHa
This has got to be early due to the motor to trans hookup. Does anybody have a clue as to what it might fit?
studeboy
It looks very much like the transmission in a studebaker light six. It could also be for the big and special six. I think the bigger cars used a larger version same setup.
AHa
Thanks, that is certainly helpful. I also have several gears that I have identified as EMF so it makes sense this transmission is from the same family. What year are you thinking? studeboy
If it is a light six, then 1920 to 1924.
