help dating old Atwater Kent model 926 radio

I had this radio in storage for many yrs and it time to figure out what car it may have been from?  I would think 1935/36 era?   Its a Atwater Kent 926 with speaker, I couldn't find a similar unit anywhere.  any help much appreciated. thank you

There is a site dedicated to vintage radios from all over the world called Radio Museum. They date the radio to 1934. I'm pretty sure that it was an aftermarket radio, for use in any brand of vehicle, rather than one specific brand.

I think that I should add that while it's manufacture dates to '34, it could have easily sat on a shelf in an auto parts store for some time after that. It's the style that was frequently mounted, by way of a clamp, to the steering column.
