40mopar
Can the brake shoe adjusting cam on 1940's vintage Mopars be repaired? I have a couple that the adjusting bolt turns, but the cam does not.
JFranklin
I have a '48 Ply. but can't envision what is broken. Can you see what is wrong or post some photos? And remember anything can be fixed if you can afford it. Edited April 13, 2018 by JFranklin add photo (see edit history)
c49er
Not reliably IMO. I'd find other good backing plates...Try asking or an ad on the P-15/D24 board. Tough area to put heat to with out damaging the spring clip. Using mig or stick weld to the hardened pin will just crack and break at the 3/8" pin area. The cam is what breaks loose from the hardened height pin.. Edited April 14, 2018 by c49er (see edit history)
