upgrading seats?

When I had put my driver's seat all the way forward, I noticed a set of wires with a plug at the end of it. My car only has a six-way seat. So I'm wondering, is this plug for connecting a sixteen way seat and can a six-way seat be replaced with a sixteen-way?

Yes, the extra wire harness and plug will accomodate the controls on the side of the 16 way seats. I replaced mine with the 16 way seats this summer with the expectation that I was going to have to do some wiring. It was a wonderful surprise to find out that it was merely a plug-in installation.

That's great. I have two questions. Since I've never been in a Reatta with 16 way seats, I'd like to know, are both the driver's and passenger seat 16-way, or is it only the driver's seat. Also, does anyone have 16-way seats in camel at a reasonable price for an 88?

sixteen way seat is on the driver's side only. passenger seat is a normal six way. however, the passenger seat upholstery is done in the matching style to the driver's seat, which is different than the standard seat.

Actually the 16 way seat option also resulted in the passenger seat being equipped with a power recliner, the switch for which is located on the side of the bottom cushion.

I now have two of my three Reatta's with full functioning 16 way seats on both passanger and drivers sides. Just put drivers seats on both sides and swap the controls to the right side for the passanger seat.
