1965rivgs Posted March 5, 2019 Share Posted March 5, 2019 Resurrecting this thread as I finally unearthed the `67 Buick Is A Beauty missing link...notice the vinyl edge Buick placed on this mirror. The same vinyl edging was used by Buick (and other GM divisions) on the rear view mirror as part of their big safety campaign for `67. I`m convinced this is the "correct" `67 mirror for at least part of the model year. When Buick center mounted the vanity mirror on the visor via dedicated fasteners, as seen in this thread, the edge of the mirror was no longer a potentially unsafe "projection", like knobs and the rear view mirror. In `68, again, as seen in this thread, the mirror lost its vinyl edge.
