scott12180
On a Packard which had the Bijur chassis lubrication system that is still functional, what type of oil could be used today? Something tacky like chainsaw oil? Something with more body like gear oil? Engine oil seems too thin for the job. Thanks --- Scott Troy, NY Edited June 15, 2017 by scott12180 (see edit history)

Owen_Dyneto
SAE 90 gear oil GL-1, or SAE50 motor oil. Either is a reasonable duplicate of the original Bijur oil.
