John_S_in_Penna
Does anyone have an illustration of what this car actually looks like? "Perfect proportions" would be interesting to see. Were the cars actually well proportioned? American long-wheelbase cars of the 1920's had wheelbases needed perhaps for their 7-passenger sedans, but those same wheelbases didn't lend optimal proportions to the stretched-out coupes and roadsters. Grimy
The Academy of Art University in San Francisco has a 1928 with sleeve valve V-12. http://www.lcars.com/pages/daimler-new-home.php
John_S_in_Penna
Thanks for the link, Grimy. "Perfect proportions" must be in the eye of the man writing the ad, for I see a regular and not-so-beautiful big black sedan. I don't know much about Daimler, and never knew they were known for large cars. Weren't they the company that made cars for the royal family? After World War II, when England was recovering and the government nationalized most industry, England lost, for a time, much of its greatness.
