Guest Allfour
Thx. I know nothing about these and can't find anything out. Is it a Borg Warner or a Twhichever?
Reg Evans
Would that tranny also work for a 1935 dodge ?
countrytravler
Yes, it will work. Here is the Hollender Book. It's a book that we use for parts interchange. BUT!!!! not the gospel!! They list the trans as #113 in the book.
jpage
It's the basic tranny used at least '35-'38 both trucks and cars. Everything you need to know is in the Master Maintenance manual or a Motor's Manual. I think they were built by Chrysler Corp.
countrytravler
And the 39 also from some models. Even the hand shakers you can convert to floor shift. The 38 and 39 was a little more difficult with the e-brake moved to the left rear side of the trans and the handle moved from the floor to under the dash pull handle. Also, some models had the e-brake on the rear axle. Some of the 38 1/2 ton trucks had the optional 4 speeds. 1st gear was a granny gear. countrytravler
This would be the trans to install. Need to rework the e-brake and convert to a floor shift.
