countrytravler
Anybody in the Detroit area that knows how to do brakes on a 57 Dodge car? I have a customer that drives this car regularly and her mechanic I think does not know how to do brakes properly. One example, he separated the rear drum from the hub. They need to have the correct equipment. Like arching the brake shoes, adjustments, bleeding etc.ThanksDave Edited November 3, 2016 by countrytravler (see edit history)

You would think that a place that specializes in a braking system that you would have a machine or a vendor that can grind shoes to fit the drums. He does not fit the shoes to the drums and this is a critical procedure for any all drum brake system on a car or truck. Disk and drum combination, you can get away without this procedure but not all drum brake system. Thanks again. countrytravler
This is one way to grind shoes to fit drums. But use dust collectors. https://youtu.be/afuwxWqBBa8
