bigvic
Hello, was wondering when Buick started using safety glass and did they I.D. them? also while removing the windshield I noticed a small decal near the gas rationing stamp with V V next to each other, does anyone know what that stood for? michaelod
Not sure exactly which year they started with safety glass, but I can tell you for sure that in 1930 it was still plate glass. Your car would therefore be plate as well. Thanks,
AzBob
Not sure as to year of safety glass as well, However the VV refers to the Fisher Ventilating windshield.

bigvic
Hello, Thanks for the info, after looking into some old threads referring to safety glass, most are "guess ta mets" . There are suggested test with the nickel reflections, all of my windows had double images....I'd like to have that verified by someone in the glass industry. Regarding the VV ventilation system it's pretty unique for it's time, early bragging rights..
