Mark Gregory
I own a 1931 Reo Royale Victoria body by Murray . The wood is rotten so I am replacing it . Does anyone know how the wood in the trunk goes ? The metal trunk floor pan is rotted out . But it looks like it was covered with a wood floor . Where the trunk lid closes on the body it looks like the wood is rotted out there also . I assume the wood supported the bottom trunk opening . My question is was there wood running across the back and under the metal ? Does anyone have a picture showing the wood structure in the trunk . I have found wood structure pictures but they bypass the trunk . I have looked at Don Marsh's book Restoration Tips but it seems to be for an earlier car . As I can not find any Mortise and Tenon joints by the back seat area in my car . Thanks Edited June 11, 2016 by Mark Gregory (see edit history)
