The car is the Mako Shark car from 1961, but as you can see from the ad and from the "corvette" badge on the front end, it was an experimental concept for the Corvette, which in retrospect I should have noted in the caption. Thanks for looking and keeping us on our toes. Good point, the post doesn't call it a "1963 Corvette", but a "1963 ad". Note that the actual ad calls it the "Shark" as in Mako.
