MrEarl
Selling as "rebuildable cores". Cleaned and inspected for cracks and found none. One valve guide came out with a stuck valve but no damage done to head. Rockers appear good. Includes all springs and push rods which also appear in good condition. Includes all head bolts. Sold AS IS. Need them out of my way. $100 plus shipping and know that they are heavy.
SpecialEducation
I used to think that the difference between compression ratios was the pistons, because that's the way it is with my Opel engines. I've read that in '56, the difference was actually the heads. Did these come from a Special, and if so, Dynaflow or Synchromesh?
MrEarl
These are from Century, w/Dynaflow. The heads contributed some to the increase but the pistons had a higher dome which gave it some boost too I think. The tulip shaped exhaust valves helped some too. Altogether the horsepower increase rose from 236 in '55 to 255 in '56. I've always wanted to swap a '56 322 and Dynaflow into my 4 door Special driver.
