what is it?
i got this hood the other day with a bunch of other parts.......its made mostly of aluminum! not many cars back in the 20's-30's had aluminum hoods except some fancy ones. and its huge! its 35 inches long and the top panels are 23 wide on the cowl end so 46 inches across the top. then funny enough the sides are only 13 inches tall. so anyone know what this is? Duesenberg!? lol i wish!

nzcarnerd
The style of the louvres, coarse and on an angle, suggests it is from the late teens. Also, cars of that era typical had lower hoods than in the 1920s. I have no idea what it is from but a search of larger cars from that era may find something. Aluminium suggests maybe something more upmarket? Had a quick look at a few makes. Maybe Cadillac Type 57? C Carl
The guys with very early V8 Cadillacs might be wondering if that "bunch of parts" might include some more very early V8 Cadillac parts ? - Carl
