Scott Mckenzie
I have a `64 Arctic white with a red interior. I am wanting to repaint the metal trim but i need help identifying one of the two reds used. The consul is in Granada Red but the trim around the rear window is in a darker color. Does anyone know if the color I am looking for is Claret Red or Coral Mist ? The color matches the dash and the knee pad and the steering wheel has the two colors in it as well Thanks.Scott
CTX-SLPR
I'd love to see pictures of your car. I'm debating adding some red/maroon to mine since my wife likes maroon. Thanks,
Seafoam65
Take one of the trim pieces you need new paint mixed for to a paint jobber and they can put their electroniccolor scanner on it to come up with a formula that matches the original paint on the item. This is the best solution to your problem.I did that on my 65 when I needed touch up paint to match the original paint on the console and dash. They were able to match it exactly and mix me up a pint of paint in semi-gloss in about ten minutes.
