MochetVelo
Advertised as a "plastic welder", Bondic hardens using UV-light, a principal you may have seen in your dentist's office. The clear glue applies rather like thick CA glue, but it doesn't harden until exposed to a pen-sized UV light source. It has high strength, is waterproof, sandable and paintable. The web site didn't mention resistance to solvents. This product looks handy for working on plastic parts in post-war cars, and maybe other things, too. http://www.bondicusa.com/collections/shop/products/bondic-automotive-repair-kit Phil
joe_padavano
Ads on late night TV sell the same thing under a different brand name for $19.99. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!!! Get TWO for the same price and pay only S&H... Seriously, UV-hardening resin has been around for decades. This is a clever package. I don't know how well it cures if the UV light can't get to the actual resin squished between the parts, however. In the aerospace world, several vendors are working on a similar resin to use with graphite fibers. Cure your graphite part in five seconds instead of a couple of hours.
