AVS619
After hearing a lot of discussion about oil in antique cars I was wondering if anyone can suggest the best type (brand and viscosity) for a 1923 Rolls-Royce Twenty (20). It is time to put it away for winter and I need to make sure I use proper oil for not only winter storage (in a heated building) but also for use. This is actually my wife's car but I am supposed to take care of it. I will appreciation any information. Thank you very much indeed. Tom
akroemer
I don't think you can go wrong using the oil sold by the Indiana Region of CCCA. It is specially formulated for our classics, so it doesn't need any additives. And it clings to the side of the cylinders, etc. for years, giving much better protection for the long term than modern oils. Al Kroemer
