TG57Roadmaster
I bought this slide taken in Cannes in 1958, and need the ID of the 2nd car from the left. From left, Mercedes-Benz 300, Salmson S4-61, Peugeot 203, super rare prewar Peugeot 402 Eclipse (retractable hardtop) Décapotable, and a Citroen DS 19. In the background, another rare bird, a '58 DeSoto Diplomat-Custom Convertible Coupe, an export model with a Plymouth body and DeSoto front end. The car in question looks kind of like a Lancia or other Italian make, but I've not nailed it yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated! TG Many thanks to nzcarnerd and Leif for answering my query! nzcarnerd
I have had some discussion on this one with others more expert than me on Euro cars and agreement is that the car is a circa 1949 Salmson S4 berline.

TG57Roadmaster
Et voila, la voiture de mystère est révélé! Thanks a million nzcarnerd and Leif, for nailing the mystery car! I would have looked and looked and probably never come up with the Salmson marque. You're the greatest! TG
