RAREBIKE
Just curious if anyone has used a different distributor on their V12's, something like a Nash twin six, Jaguar V12, or a Porsche twin plug? tim in omaha
Mssr. Bwatoe
WHY? H-V-12 is the most dependable efficient designs ever made, I believe they were made by Holley..add new coilsand points and drive for years

ezdusit
Rarebike,Several years ago, a fellow named Royce Brechler sent me pictures of an HV-12 engine he was rebuilding to put into a '32 Ford hotrod. He used a non-original distributor that I recall may have been a Jaguar unit. Here's one of the pictures he provided at the time, at least 15 years ago, if memory serves. RAREBIKE
EZDUSIT, Would you have any more pictures of the Jaguar distributor? Thanks for this one, it is just what I am looking for. tim

abelincoln
There was a 32 ford with Lincoln engine in Hot Rod a few years ago, had fuel injection in throttle bodies and a crank trigger, no distributer needed. Depending on which computer you use, you could put an engine position sensor where the distributer used to be. Should get a much hotter spark with no cross fire on terminal plates.Abe
