trimacar
Here's a little tidbit on Volvo history, the interesting thing to me is to look at the styling that company used in the 30's and 40's, and then look at the mid-50's fiberglass sports car (I'd never heard of the P1900, they only made 60 or so)...very interesting, and one can see the influence of American styling on this automaker.... http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/autos-bdc/volvo-the-past-present-and-future/ss-AA9xsjr
Mark Shaw
The P1800 coupes were followed by the 1800ES wagons with fuel injection rather than SU carbs. I had an 1800ES, but my wife really didn't like it. She said I drove it too fast!
trimacar
Mark, note that I stated P1900...I'm familiar with the P1800, but had never seen the Sport P1900....I think the P1800 is a great looking car....
Dave@Moon
The P1900 is a beautiful car, if a bit tubby, especially considering that it was an in-house design and not the fashionable Italian creation. Unfortunately it was quite expensive, fairly slow, and was of appallingly poor build quality (particularly for a Volvo!). 68 were built, 2 0f which were given the same serial number.http://www.volvoadventures.com/1900.html
