1952 Plymouth generator front bearing

I'm trying to find a sealed front generator bearing that fits Plymouth from '33-'55. Original # is 602454. Would also like to get the felt washers (#636815) that are used with the unsealed bearing. Got any ideas?

Plugging 602454 into the napaonline.com web site turns up Napa number BRG 6203J which is listed as an alternator bearing. Might be the right one. Certainly worth getting one into a store and comparing it with your original.

No luck on the felt washer part 636815 using that technique though. I was able to make some of the felt washers I needed for my car by getting some felt of the appropriate thickness from an industrial felt and gasket supplier and making my own. If worse comes to worse you might check out that route.

Contact Trans Bearing in NJ. They've been very good at supplying new sealed bearings for original open bearings.

The 6203 is the most common bearing in the world. they range in price from 99 cents to about $17. Get a $10 sealed bearing and forget about the felt.
