TerryB
I have a tire ashtray for U S Royal tires that seems to be 60's vintage. It has both a redline and whitewall on it. I was wondering if this combo of redline and whitewall was ever used on autos from the factory and if yes, by whom? Thanks,Terry

Rick Hoover
They were original equipment tires for the 1965 and 1966 Ford Thunderbirds. Tire size was 8:15 X 15 with a 3/4 to 1 inch white wall and a 3/8 inch red stripe.
TerryB
That sure sounds right for the description. I don't recall seeing them but then again there we not too many Tbirds around my home town. I do recall a person who had a really nice 1962 Tbird convertible. He had no trouble getting the attention of the ladies with that ride. I did notice the Tbird disappeared after he got married!Terry
Guest AlCapone
I don't know about the 65 but it was 1966 for sure. Wayne
