stakeside
I have the master cylinder in my truck that is the same as the passenger car. It is badly pitted and I need to rebuild. The attached picture shows the master cylinder. 1) when is it required to have it sleeved instead of clean up by resurfacing?2) will a rebuild kit for standard 1 1/4" bore work with the resurfacing?3) is the kit I found internet the correct one? It appears the kit works for 1930 to 1936.4) is there a replacement from another later vehicle?
farrellg
I just sent my cylinders and master out for sleeving. I will use brass, but you can get stainless. Standard kits will work when they are done right. The picture you have looks right for you 1 1/4" master. However, I do believe you can find new kits at the auto parts store. I am always weary of old rubber parts.

I am always weary of old rubber parts.I got a master cylinder kit from Napa here in Citrus Hts. CA. It appears to be the same as the Wagner kit FC 3613. I am attaching the parts listing for application. I found the rubber boot dust cover is smaller then the place it fits on my master cylinder. It may work although. trini
I think you are missing a long ( about 3 inches) conical shaped return spring in the kit Check with other D.B. fellows and if I am correct let me know. I may have one.Harry, hsahu@tcn.net
