rocky5517
I repainted the rear wheel with semi-flat black (rattle can), and the front wheel is original. I think it's a pretty close match. Any comments?I never realized how many finishes there are ( flat, semi flat, satin, semi gloss, and gloss) but I fing that in and around the engine compartment, if I had only one can of paint to go witj, it seems semi-flat is the choice. 68RIVGS
Looks good, and it's about as close as you can get to the original finish. Semi Flat, Satin, and Semi Gloss are all about the same finish, depending on the manufacturer - the wheels are definitely not a Gloss Black, or Flat Matt Black finish. Now you'll hafta do the other 3, or 4 (...spare?) to match !! slosteve
Looks good Rocky. I painted all 4 on my '65 and between removing the surface rust and masking, I spent a lot of hours on a seemingly simple job. But it was worth it for sure.Steve
